Kaajel studied dance from the age of 8 going in her local community centre in Leicester to learn Kathak. She also trained in Bollywood dance and fell in love with its colourful & dramatic charm. She began teaching Bollywood classes as a youngster in a community dance group as well as performing professionally with them around the UK and internationally. After moving to London to pursue her passion for the visual arts she joined another professional Bollywood dance group. With this team she was in the finals of Got To Dance, performed on other British television programmes, films as well live on stages internationally.

Her dance work as of late has intermingled more with her practice as a visual artist in choreographing & performing more abstract dance for contemporary theatre productions. She still trains in Bollywood dance with her troupe LplProductions & teaches with a Bollywood dance company called Bollyfemme.

She also moonlights as a Bollywood Cabaret dancer with an all Asian Collective ‘ The Bitten Peach’. Her work here looks at some of the more problematic areas of Bollywood industry whilst performing intricate routines, using costume & set to create statements with performance.
